Nitrogen production on-site with Inmatec nitrogen generators
Nitrogen purity of between 95% and 99.999% (5.0) as well as 99.9999% (6.0)
Nitrogen generators reduce costs and provide protection against production stoppages
Nitrogen is used in many areas of industry. An uninterrupted supply of pure nitrogen plays an important role in a number of processes. At the same time, it is important for you to keep your costs as low as possible. That being said, are there any starting points for sustainable cost savings still available to your company?
On-site nitrogen production can help you reduce your costs significantly and it is a cost-effective alternative to expensive cylinders and bundles. The production of low-cost nitrogen from the ambient air at your site generally leads to amortisation of your investment costs within a short period of time, thereby contributing to the success of your company.
Nitrogen production on-site also protects you from supply shortages and the production stoppages associated with such shortages. Particularly in remote or hard-to-access areas, it is often not possible to ensure the nitrogen supply through the supply of liquid nitrogen. Producing N2 in-house ensures a continuous supply of nitrogen at all times regardless of where you may be in the world.
Inmatec nitrogen generators produce nitrogen in the required quantity with a purity of up to 99.9999% (6.0). Equipped with innovative and future-oriented technology, our N2 generators meet the highest quality standards. Thanks to state-of-the-art remote control technology, all operating values can be checked and controlled remotely at any time. This also ensures the safety of your production processes.
Inmatec is the expert for nitrogen production and nitrogen generators in Australia
As a leading manufacturer of nitrogen and oxygen generators, INMATEC has the experience of having installed more than 7,000 plants across the globe. We will support you not only during the consultation stage and installation of your plant, but also with the infeed to your existing line system.
The required nitrogen purity depends on the application. Consequently, pure, high-purity or ultra-high purity nitrogen is used depending on the application. In this regard, the purity indicates the proportion of nitrogen in the total substance mixture. Inmatec generators produce nitrogen with a purity of up to 99.9999% (6.0).
Nitrogen 5.0 has a purity of 99.999%. This high-purity gas contains 10 millionths (ppm, parts per million) of residual oxygen.
Nitrogen 6.0 is an ultra-high purity gas with 1 millionth (1 ppm) residual oxygen and a purity of 99.9999%.
PSA technology
The nitrogen generators of the IMT PN and IMT PNC series are based on pressure swing adsorption (PSA) technology. In this regard, compressed air is pressed into two adsorption vessels as per the adsorption principle. The vessels are each filled with a carbon molecular strainer, where the oxygen and carbon dioxide molecules are bound. The free nitrogen molecules are guided into a product tank. This creates a continuous nitrogen stream that can be used for a wide range of applications. The generators can produce between 0.50 and 10,000.00 m³ of nitrogen per hour and, in some cases, even more.
The PSA technology in particular enables the production of nitrogen with an especially high purity of up to 6.0 (99.9999% / 1.0 ppm residual oxygen).
INMATEC nitrogen generators of the IMT SN/MN/LNX series feature membrane technology. The ambient air is pressed through the hollow fibre membranes of the generators. In this context, the membrane ensures that water vapour, oxygen, nitrogen, noble gases and carbon dioxide diffuse through it at different rates. This is determined by their different molecular structures. Using these different degrees of diffusion, the nitrogen molecules can be easily separated from the oxygen and other molecules.
The purity of the nitrogen produced can be easily controlled by the pressure and by the quantity of ambient air used. Thanks to membrane technology, nitrogen can be obtained in quantities of between 0.14 and 10,000 Nm³ per hour even with very low compressed air requirements.
Inmatec nitrogen generators and oxygen generators are developed and manufactured in accordance with the requirements of various quality management standards:
