Industry is suffering more and more from the consequences of rising energy costs. High natural gas prices are already forcing various manufacturers to reduce or stop production. CO2 (carbon dioxide), which is mainly obtained as a by-product of fertilizer production and used in the beverage industry, is also becoming scarce at the moment. CO2 is the basis for carbonic acid (H2CO3), which is used to carbonize sparkling soft drinks, frothy beer or sparkling wine. The first beverage manufacturers already see their production as seriously endangered. However, there is a CO2 alternative that can serve as a substitute gas in many production steps of beverage manufacture and can thus alleviate the lack of CO2 and carbonic acid: nitrogen (N2). With the help of Inmatec nitrogen generators, the gas can be generated directly on site and production-endangering delivery bottlenecks can be avoided.
