Medical oxygen plays an important role in coping with the corona crisis. It is used worldwide to treat Covid patients and is now also used to manufacture life-saving vaccines. With self-sufficient O2 generation, hospitals and pharmaceutical manufacturers secure the supply and reduce their costs at the same time.

Medical oxygen has been used to ventilate patients around the world since the beginning of the Corona crisis. The pandemic has led to supply bottlenecks in the existing supply network of liquid oxygen in many countries. In order to avoid this in the future, many healthcare providers, supported by their governments and ministries of health, want to support the oxygen supply via decentralized O2 production with the help of oxygen generators. This is reflected in the sharp rise in order numbers, particularly from Peru, Great Britain, India and the Arab countries. Medical oxygen is also used to produce genetic vaccines, live and dead vaccines, and vector vaccines that are used to combat SARS-CoV-2. This requires the cultivation of bacteria or cell cultures in bioreactors with the addition of oxygen in order to be able to manufacture the components of the vaccine on an industrial scale.

Oxygen generation on site meets the highest quality standards

Inmatec POC Med generators generate oxygen directly from the ambient air with the help of PSA technology. The medical oxygen produced has a purity of 93% ± 3% and corresponds to the standards of the European Pharmacopoeia for medical applications. The generators are designed according to strict quality management specifications and certified in accordance with the Medical Device Directive 93/42 / EEC. Our satisfied customers protect themselves against delivery bottlenecks through the self-sufficient production, save up to 60% of the costs and protect the environment and the climate through the environmentally friendly process.
