Nitrogen for storing goods and foodstuffs
There are various risks associated with the storage of goods. Such risks depend on the composition of the goods. Dry bulk materials, such as ore, coal, cement and grain, are always a considerable fire and explosion hazard. The same is true of various liquid goods such as crude oil and chemicals. The risk can be reduced if contact with oxygen is avoided. The oxygen can be completely displaced with the aid of self-produced nitrogen. Due to its high level of inertness, this inert gas is ideal for headspace filling of storage spaces and liquid tanks.
The storage of food in ambient air carries the risk of microbial infections as well as oxidative and enzymatic reactions. Contact with oxygen can result in quality losses and the spoilage of beverages and solid foodstuffs. By blanketing storage tanks and storage spaces with nitrogen, this risk can be minimised or eliminated.
With our nitrogen generators, we supply high quality solutions for the stationary and mobile production of nitrogen for different applications, including for low volume requirements.
