Nitrogen to prevent fire and explosion hazards in mining and tunnelling
High concentrations of mine gas and dry dust can lead to spontaneous fires underground. In order to minimise this risk, sections of a tunnel in which no work is being carried out by personnel are blanketed with nitrogen, for example. The reduction of the oxygen content makes it more difficult for fires and explosions to occur. Moreover, it is common practice to extinguish fires that break out in the course of mining or tunnelling by rapidly inerting with nitrogen.
With our nitrogen generators, we supply high quality solutions for the stationary and mobile production of nitrogen for different applications, including for low volume requirements.
