POC Med oxygen generator for COVID and medical treament

Poland is strongly affected by the corona pandemic. Due to the enormous increase in the need for oxygen, the oxygen reserves were used up in many places, and the supply of oxygen bottles to hospitals could not be maintained in some cases. An Inmatec POC 8400 Med oxygen generator now installed in a hospital is considered to be one of the most technologically advanced oxygen generation systems for medical oxygen in the country. The generator will secure the oxygen supply for hospital patients in the future.

The hospital consists of a COVID ward, a department for tuberculosis and lung diseases, a care and treatment facility and a palliative care ward. In addition to being used for COVID treatment the medical oxygen is also used for surgical procedures, anesthesia and in the preoperative and postoperative period. Furthermore it is used for resuscitation, in mechanical lung ventilation in the treatment of respiratory depression and and other diseases like chronic obstructive pulmonary disease (COPD), pneumoconiosis, pneumonia, heart attack and pulmonary embolism.

The oxygen generation system, which was installed by our Polish distributor Arbatech, produces 30 m3 of medical oxygen per hour with a purity of 93% and supplies the 80 patient beds with a constant flow of oxygen. Thanks to innovative and energy-saving POC technology, the provision of oxygen is cheaper than supplying oxygen bottles. POC Med generators are designed and developed at the production facility in Herrsching in accordance with the strict quality management requirements of ISO 13485: 2016 and ISO 7396-1: 2016. Certified according to the Medical Device Directive 93/42 / EEC, the generators produce an oxygen quality that corresponds to the standards of the European Pharmacopeia for medical applications.
