Inmatec is a member of the Industrial Gases Association

Inmatec has been a member of Germany's Industrial Gases Association (IGV) since the beginning of 2022. The association and its around 50 members are committed to improving safety, environmental protection and technology in the production and handling of industrial gases.

The industrial gases sector in Germany generates an annual turnover of approx. 3.1 billion euros and supplies around 400,000 industrial customers and hospitals with a wide variety of gases and gas mixtures. Industrial gases such as nitrogen (N2), oxygen (O2), argon (Ar), hydrogen (H2), carbon dioxide (CO2) or acetylene (C2H2) are used, for example, as process, inert or test gases in a wide variety of industries.

The IGV, a trade association within the Chemical Industry Association (VCI) and a member of the European Industrial Gases Association (EIGA), works on behalf of its member companies to achieve various goals. The protection of people and the environment, responsible action and sustainable development are among the most important goals of the IGV. For example, the (increased) use of industrial gases can optimize many industrial processes, such as the use of hydrogen in steel production, to reduce emissions on a larger scale.

Another goal is safety when exercising the profession. Operational safety, occupational health and safety require clear rules, especially when dealing with inert or oxidizing gases. To this end, numerous expert groups made up of specialists from the member companies are developing solutions for the safe daily handling of industrial gases.

“We are delighted that the industrial gases association has included INMATEC, the first plant manufacturer for PSA systems, in its ranks. Together with the other member companies, we will develop future-oriented solutions for the safe use of industrial gases. This coincides with our goals at Inmatec to reduce CO2 emissions and protect the environment through the environmentally friendly on-site production of nitrogen and oxygen," says Dr. Peter Biedenkopf, Managing Director of Inmatec GaseTechnologie.
